Terms and Conditions
Please be sure to read before attending an appointment
Your pet's health
You must inform the groomer of any existing medical conditions your dog may have, including but not limited to allergies, seizures, heart conditions, skin irritations, etc
If your pet appears unwell at the time of the appointment, they will not be accepted for grooming
We will not groom any dog that has had anaesthetic within the last 48 hours, or has received a surgical procedure which requires stitches. The dog must be fully healed and recovered before a grooming appointment can take place
Puppies must wait at least 1 week after their 2nd vaccination before attending their first groom
Pregnant, nursing, or in heat dogs are not able to be groomed
If your pet is found to have fleas, there will be an additional £10 charge for the groom to cover the cost of flea bombs, extra cleaning, etc. Depending on severity, you may be asked to collect your dog before the completion of the groom and a full charge will be required
Any pets that are deemed in need of immediate veterinary attention will receive this - Fluffy Tails is not liable for any resulting additional costs caused by prior conditions
Matted dogs
Fluffy Tails will endeavour to groom your pet to your requirements, however if your pet's coat is excessively matted, the matted coat will be clipped (shaved) out. I will contact you before this takes place, or discuss it beforehand - a full shave of your dog will not be done without permission, however it will not be possible to complete a groom on a matted dog without this consent and you will be charged for the full appointment.
Depending on the severity of the matted coat, there may be an additional charge added onto the groom price to cover the cost of excessive wear on tools.
The primary concern is to relieve any discomfort or pain your pet may be experiencing as a result of their matted coat. While unlikely, removing matting is more likely to cause unavoidably injury to your pet. It is also possible to uncover previous injuries, sores, or skin conditions hidden under the coat. The cost of any veterinary treatment of any such conditions must be covered by the pet owner.
Appointments
Fluffy Tails does not provide walk-in services or consultations. Appointments must be made online or at the end of your dog's appointment
If booking online, you may be offered multiple appointment times. You must confirm a time and date within a reasonable amount of time, or your appointment slot may be offered to another client and you will need to wait for a later date
Every new client will be asked to complete a client information form - you are asked to do this prior to your appointment time
Fluffy Tails requires 48 hours notice for appointment cancellations or there will be a 50% charge for your missed appointment
Missed appointments with no communication prior to the appointment time (no call, no show) will incur a 100% fee of the grooming cost which must be paid in full before further appointments can be booked
If you arrive late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule and a late cancellation fee will apply
If you arrive too early for your booking, you may have to wait outside as I operate on a strictly one to one basis
Any pet not collected within 15 minutes of the agreed collection time may incur additional late charges
If you arrive early to collect your pet, it may need to be sent home unfinished as some dogs will not settle down once they know you have arrived. The full grooming charge will still apply
In the unlikely event that a groom is unable to be completed due to behavioural problems or aggression, you will still be liable to pay the for the full price of the appointment
Your dogs will always be the only ones present in the grooming room, and I can accommodate up to 2 dogs from the same house-hold, with a room divider if necessary
Please ensure that your pet has been given the opportunity to go to the toilet before they enter the grooming salon
Please be sure to bring your pets collar or harness, and a lead to be left in order for a safe hand over before and after grooming
Fluffy Tails has the right to cancel a groom if there are concerns your pet's welfare or if there is a risk of injury to your pet, or to the groomer
Fluffy Tails is not responsible for any loss of personal items during the appointment - please be sure you have everything before you leave
In the event that dogs are aggressive towards a groomer, the dog may be muzzled or have a cone put on them. It is the owner's responsibility to inform the groomer if they do not wish their pet to be muzzled, however this may result in the groom not taking place and full payment is required
Any and all previous aggression by your dog must be communicated when booking in your first appointment
Your dog may be photographed before, during and after its groom. Photographs may be used on social media or other printed materials, please inform Fluffy Tails before your appointment if you do not wish for their picture to be shared
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your pet's groom, please get in touch within 48 hours - or preferably before you leave. Reasonable requests to alter the trim will be dealt with immediately, or changes noted for the next groom. Refunds cannot be given for any reason.
Please get in touch with any issues you have so that they can be resolved, rather than leaving a negative review & leaving with an unsatisfactory experience
Please feel free to get in touch if there are aspects of the groom you would like to change at your next appointment - it can be very difficult to get the perfect length on the first groom, so this can easily be altered in the future
Payment must be paid in full upon collection of your dog, either in cash or via card/contactless. If there is any reason for late payments, this will incur a late fee
Client data will be treated in accordance to the Data Protection Act and will not be shared with 3rd parties
Fluffy Tails has the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice
Thank you
